Socfin Agricultural Company, operating in Sahn Malen Chiefdom, Sierra Leone, has significantly contributed to local development through corporate social responsibility initiatives. Since 2011, the company has built schools, health centers, roads, and community facilities, installed streetlights, and provided micro-credit loans empowering women. Employing 3,551 workers, mostly locals, Socfin also compensates landowners with annual lease payments of $228,236. Its palm oil mill processes 30 tonnes of fruit per hour, generating 12MW of power.
