The President Koroma has inaugurated the largest palm oil farm in West Africa, SAC. This is a private sector arrangement and not a government to government arrangement. The local population and Socfin have unified their strengths to eradicate Ebola. Socfin has invested $ 130 millions to build this plantation with hybrid trees and a mill of 30t/hr (max capacity 60t/hr). For the social and environmental aspects, SAC hasn’t planted in the whole concession, some areas still undeveloped, paid land compensation and employed 3 551 workers.
