History
Socfin represents more than 100 years of experience and expertise in the field of good tropical agricultural practices, in which sustainability standards have been integrated and intensified over time.

1909
Creation of the “Société Financière des Caoutchoucs”, Socfin.
2008-2013
Socfin collaborated with the DEG on long-term projects focusing on health and education: intensify HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment, for employees and their families, as well as the surrounding communities, in highly affected countries where the Socfin Group operates (RDC, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Nigeria and Liberia).
2011-2015
Certification of the oil palm plantations of Socfindo.
2012
Publication of the Socfin Group’s first sustainability report.
2013
Signing of the partnership with IECD in Cameroon.
2014
Socapalm is the first ISO14001 certified oil palm plantation in Central Africa.
2015
On 15 December 2015, the Pujehun district in Sierra Leone, where the SAC plantation is located, was the first of the country’s 14 districts to be declared “Ebola free”.
2017

The Socfin Group publishes its new responsible management policy.

Socfin: Founding member of GPNSR.
2019
The Socfin Group obtains a unique membership to extend RSPO certification to its African subsidiaries.

Nigeria: Okomu is RSPO certified.

Cameroon: Safacam is RSPO certified.
